It’s festival season, baby! Even though we can’t be getting lost in a crowd, hugging strangers, and shoving our faces inside of the speakers at the main stage right now, EDM artists around the world are pulling out all the stops to create meaningful, at-home experiences for us.
If you ask us, what we lose in terms of basic human interaction, we gain in convenience. With the self-quarantine livestream experience, here are some of the things you can enjoy:
- No more fighting through the crowd to find your friends – everyone is just a Facetime away!
- No more randos trying to talk to you while you’re dancing.
- No more wanting to kill everyone clacking fans, blowing whistles, or going “woo woo!!”
- Unlimited dancing space (limited only by the square footage of your home).
- Tall people are never blocking your view.
- Front row, all day, all night. You never have to camp for it, and you can leave and come back as much as you want without losing your spot.
- There’s never a line for the water refill station.
- There’s never a line for the bathroom. (We can’t promise there will be toilet paper left, though.)
- Also, there are actual, indoor, nice bathrooms instead of porta potties!!
- Alcohol is free and unlimited. (As long as you bought enough of it beforehand.)
- So is food.
- You can sit down whenever and wherever you want and still see the stage, without people stepping on and tripping over you.
- Some artists, like Cloverdale, will even bring you backstage during their performances.
- No schedule conflicts. If you miss a set, you can just watch it later.
All you need to attend is a ~stable-enough wi-fi connection. So are you ready to get more than your money’s worth?? Because what you get with the livestream experience makes what you get with the VIP experience at a music festival in the Old World look like a tier five friendship. (Good luck winning us back without these perks, Coachella, EDC, and all you other fests who thought you had clout!!)
