What to Expect at Hart Plaza
Hart Plaza has been the beating heart of the Movement Festival since its inception. Located right along the Detroit River, the venue offers not only a true downtown experience but six stages all with distinct atmospheres.

Beyond The Music:
As the main festival stages shut down, the city transforms into an all-night affair. Detroit’s legendary aftershows — a staple of this festival— will keep the party going well into the morning hours. These afterhours events in addition to Movement itself, continue to bring me back year after year.
One of the most iconic aftershow venue is TV Lounge, and is known for its intimate and underground feel. TV Lounge will once again host one of its legendary sunrise sets and personally an annual Movement ritual for my friends and me. Expect top of line sound systems that will change your way of experiencing music in an intimate setting.
Movement Festival is not just about the music — it’s a raw community celebration of all things Detroit. Expect an array of art installations, live visual performances, and cutting-edge sound systems that will change your festival expectations forever.
