2021 is the year of the comeback for many festivals, and Defected Croatia is no exception. Instead of sitting around during the pandemic, the festival devoted time to making significant improvements to the production, stages and attendee experience.
Defected Croatia 2021 welcomes us to The Garden Resort in Tisno from August 5th to the 10th. We’ve been preparing our bodies, minds and souls for six straight days of Defected, but at the same time, how much do we really need to prepare oursevles to be right at home, in our element?
Defected Croatia 2021 Lineup
For starters, Defected Croatia’s lineup is more extensive than ever before and includes more than 90 artists from around the globe to feed our house music cravings. We’re especially excited to catch Eats Everything, Ferreck Dawn, and Dennis Cruz.
Eats Everything
Being big fans of his Edible Beats radio show, we’ve been waiting to see this house legend live for years. And what better backdrop than the Adriatic coastline! Check out his Soundcloud here to find over 200 fire mixes to enjoy.
Ferreck Dawn
Ferreck Dawn hails from Amsterdam and has been consistently producing catchy house beats for more than a decade and garnering support from DJs around the globe. This will be our first time seeing this accomplished artist live, and we’re on the edge of our seats. Check out one of his recent releases below to get a sense for Ferreck Dawn:
Dennis Cruz
Another legendary artist we haven’t had the chance to encounter in the wild is Dennis Cruz, who is not to be missed. Based in Spain, Dennis brings a unique influence to his music that will cement his legacy in the underground house scene. Listen to one of his latest tracks below to get a taste of his style:
The Logistics
Here’s a peek at what you can expect from the Defected Croatia experience:
- Daily mindfulness sessions, including meditation and yoga, on the beach to reground your soul
- “House hedonism” spanning three different stages on land, including a fully-renovated beach stage with unobstructed views of the ocean and a larger, tiered dancefloor
- No VIP
- Boat parties twice each day, DJed by underground house artists on top-notch sound systems out on the beautiful Adriatic Sea
- Afterparties at Barbarella’s nightclub, under the stars and past sunrise
Be There Soon, Defected Croatia
Flights are booked, outfits are planned, and all that’s left is just under a month until we blast. Logistics and lineup aside, what we’re most looking forward to is being enveloped in the atmosphere and the people at Defected Croatia.
Although this will be our first time attending, it’s obvious this energy is the core of the festival’s success and a big reason people go. We can’t wait for this family reunion!
