During these times of uncertainty, there are a few things that we can really appreciate- one of those things being fire new music. Galo is taking it one step further by hitting us with a brand new banger “Hypnotized”, complete with a free download!
We have always been huge fans and supporters of Galo since seeing him tear up the Techyes stage at Imagine Music Festival in 2019. We have never been disappointed by any of his releases and “Hypnotized” is no different! This track is out on OKNF and part of their artist spotlight series.
Galo gives us the inside scoop of the creative process behind the track:
“I wrote ‘Hypnotized‘ a few months ago when I started my residency at Tangra, the new three-story club in Tampa. We have a night where I run the rooftop and it’s all tech house. If you’ve listened to me play, you know I always have a good amount of hip-hop, R&B, and soul vocals thrown in my sets.
So I wrote the first half of the drop, then the build, and kept listening to it over and over. It had energy, but I wanted to add a vocal that would do well live and push the song further. After some digging, I found the sample I used from ‘Ayo Technology.’ I feel like it’s the most underrated part of the original, but it really glued my track together.”
