Four days of Lollapalooza return to Grant Park August 2nd-5th, 2018, with a once-again incredible lineup. Chicago’s biggest music festival boasts headliners from multiple genres, guaranteeing something for everyone. Whether you vibe with Bruno Mars, Arctic Monkeys, Post Malone, ODESZA, or Excision, get ready for another weekend enjoying the countless, talented artists on Lollapalooza’s lineup.

Lollapalooza Artist Highlights

With 170+ artists and bands across 8 stages, you are definitely going to run into some conflicts. We will help you out by highlighting some of our favorites on the undercard that you will want to make a priority in seeing.

Welshly Arms

Welshly Arms is a bluesy rock band with heartfelt lyrics and killer vocals. I had the pleasure of seeing their more intimate, acoustic set at Firefly Music Festival this June. This group poured so much heart and soul into their performance that it brought me to tears. It was such a powerful performance, partially because I really resonated with the lyrics. Welshly Arms is on at 12:45PM on Friday at the Bud Light stage.

Noizu

Noizu has been on our radar for a while now. We were able to catch him opening for Malaa and Tchami on their No Redemption tour in Chicago and at Treehouse Night Club during Miami Music Week. Each time, we were blown away and had so much fun dancing nonstop. If you’re into bass or future house music, make sure to catch Noizu at 12:00PM on Friday at Perry’s Stage.

Kayzo

This year, I have seen Kayzo’s fan base grow like crazy. My friends who have seen him at Electric Forest claimed his set was their favorite of the weekend. Kayzo has no boundaries when producing his music and performing live. He creates music that appeals to him, with more of a trap and hardstyle vibe that won’t fall under one specific genre. He also pulls a lot of influence from the songs he grew up listening to, so be ready to travel back in time and hear some of your favorite throwbacks mixed in a unique way. Kayzo plays at 6:30PM on Thursday at Perry’s Stage.

Lizzo

Lizzo is a sassy singer and rapper with powerful vocals. Her main mission is to create music that will make people forget everything in the moment and want to dance. It’s super empowering and just makes you feel good about yourself! Lizzo’s high energy and fun performance will have you dancing along with her for the entire set. Get ready to feel yo’ self with Lizzo at 4:30PM on Friday at the Tito’s Handmade Vodka Stage.

The Aces

The Aces are a huge up-and-coming, all-female, indie-pop band that you don’t want to miss! Take it from my friend, Sarah Havala, who is arguably one of their biggest fans:

“Every one of their songs is passionate and meaningful, while still fun and upbeat. You can walk into one of their shows having never have heard of them before and walk out a die-hard fan because of their energy on stage. They are one of those rare bands that is even better live than they are recorded, and no matter how many times I see them, I always look forward to seeing them again!”

Add The Aces to your Sunday schedule at 4:30PM on the BMI Stage.

Chris Lake

Last but not least is one of our favorite producers in the game right now, Chris Lake. If you want to be a part of one of the most fun dance parties of all time, do not miss his set! Chris Lake is currently killing the house music game with no signs of slowing down after the recent launch of his new record label, “Black Book Records.” Outside of his numerous released bangers, he is also overflowing with unreleased music his fans have been dying to get their hands on. Lose your mind with Chris Lake at 3:00PM on Sunday at Perry’s Stage.

Others on the undercard we highly recommend seeing include The Neighbourhood, Alex Lahey, Goldfish, The Him, Brohug, and Sir Sly.

Experience the Magic of Lollapalooza

We will be returning to our 5th Lollapalooza this summer. This festival holds a special place in our hearts, being the first music festival we ever attended. You can definitely say Lollapalooza was the beginning of what started our music festival obsession. There’s something magical about being able to watch amazing talent perform on stage with the magnificent Chicago skyline as the backdrop.
